Due to the massive success of our first Festive Market in 2019 at House of Schivas, and after having to take a wee break out in 2020 thanks to the not so festive 'C' word; North Hop is delighted to be back once again, working alongside the awesome Schivas team in Aberdeenshire to create another magical festive experience like no other! But this time, the Festive Market will be held at their brand new stunning venue; The Schivas Steading and across 2 days instead of 1!
Once again the event will take place the weekend before Christmas and will be over 2 days, on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 December. Both days will feature daytime family friendly sessions (complete with santa and festive entertainment), and Saturday will have an extra session in the evening for over 18's only (with live music) to allow everyone to enjoy the event.
"Curiouser and curiouser!" But are you curious enough to fall down the rabbit hole at Cafe 1 with us on 27th June 2020 (provisional date) to unearth a new and curious world of Scottish spirits? The afternoon will be filled with 'drink me' potions, tea cup cocktails, 'eat me' treats, distillers delights and some mysterious but magical goings on!
'North Hop for Neil' is a day of celebration, raising funds for beer and gin loving fan Neil Bremner from Banff, and his family. Neil was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare incurable cancer Leiomyosarcoma. He's one of life's enthusiasts and loves to smile and help others. He is also a much-valued friend to the North Hop crew so what better way to support him than to throw him his very own North Hop! And YOU are invited.
North Hop has teamed up with the stunning House of Schivas in Aberdeenshire to create a Festive Market like no other! Keeping with the theme of doing things differently this market will take place just before Christmas on Sunday 22 December, and will run into early evening to allow everyone to do some festive shopping then enjoy some tasty food and drinks in the magnificent and magical surroundings of this unique house...
We're BACK at Haddo House 28/29 September 2019 and this time it's all about the dogs! Our first event at Haddo back in May attracted dogs of all breeds/shapes/sizes enjoying the event and Country Park alongside their humans so we figured why not take that to the next level and make this event all about them (with good stuff for the humans too)! We'll be bringing together epic street food vendors, bars, and food/drink/craft market traders, alongside some great doggy related vendors and lots of activities to keep those four legged friends (and kids!) occupied...
Where better to host a full-blown American themed festival but in an impressive events field in the grounds of an even more impressive castle, in Scotland! On Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September we'll be channelling our inner Outlander vibes and bringing in a whole host of street food vendors, themed bars and market traders along with Scottish dancing, line dancing, beer pong and live music to let you all discover your USA Roots, in Aberdeenshire...
This event will be your chance to explore and discover a wide and varied selection of all the amazing food, drink, craft and activity businesses in and around the Angus area, within the spectacular surroundings of House of Dun! Taking place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July this is guaranteed to be an event with a view, history and splendour! Come try some tasty street food, relax in our courtyard bar area, discover music buskers in some of the nooks and crannies around the grounds, and check out lots of fab food, drink, and craft market traders on the front lawn.
For our second North Hop x National Trust for Scotland collab we're pretty excited to be popping up at Pitmedden Garden for a special 'Secret Garden Experience' on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st July 2019. As well as being able to take in the beautiful surroundings of the garden you'll be able to enjoy some awesome plant based street food (other options available), check out some amazing plant based producers and lovely market traders, go down the rabbit hole into our Mad Hatters Boozy Tea Tent for tipples and sweet treats, and take part in some super relaxing wellness classes!

For the latest in our series of 'A Taste of North Hop' events we are very excited to be joined by Martin from Rock Rose Gin, one of the most exciting and popular gin companies in the Scottish gin market at present! Learn first hand where it all began and where their inspiration came from, and the processes involved in creating Rock Rose Gin. Martin will do a special tasting, and will also talk us though the perfect gin serve and the importance of matching up the right garnishes and tonics to different gins, before shaking up an awesome Rock Rose Gin cocktail.

For our second gin tasting in a special series of taster events for North Hop we are delighted to have Gomes from 10 Dollar Shake and Jamie from Eden.Mill Distillery & Brewery St Andrews introduce us to gins that all have one thing in common...they have all come from a distillery that also has a brewery background! We will get to sample some delicious gins which will be accompanied with some interesting background information and history before Gomes shakes us up some tasty gin cocktails!
Bored of the same old nights out in Inverness? Fancy doing something a bit different? In association with Bars R Us and Alottarhythmman and inspired by the 'Cocktail Lounge' vibe at North Hop 2014 we are delighted to bring you the very first of our pop up events, Inverness Cocktail Lounge. It will be an evening of cocktails, gins, craft beer, DJ's and dancing, all in the unique surroundings of Eden Court's Bishop's Palace. Bars R Us will be shaking up some awesome creations, whilst Alottarhythmman and friends throw out the beats for this exciting new event.
For our very first Hop'Up event we will be joined by the guys from Loch Ness Brewery for a special 'Meet the Brewer' session with a few special spooky surprises! They will be bringing along a selection of their great beers for you all to try and you will get to learn more about their brewery in Drumnadrochit and their brewing processes, as well an insight into each of their beers you try. As this event falls on Halloween fancy dress is optional but we will have a special beery prize for the best dressed so get creative, the hoppier the better!
