North Hop

Carma are a young female duo from the Highlands who play originals in a modern folk style. The girls Carmen Beaton (vocalist/ukulele) and Kenna Ross (pianist/backing vocals) met at North Highland College studying music a few years ago when they were just 17 years old. During the first year at college they formed their first band named Almostfolk. As Almostfolk they played a few well known venues with the help of ‘music plus’ one of them being Celtic Connections. The girls then went onto forming the duo Carma when they moved together to Aberdeen for their second year of music.

As a duo they have played venues such as Belladrum and Jocktoberfest for a second time and have just released their EP ‘Serendipity’ with five original tracks which is now available on Spotify, itunes, apple music etc. The girls hope to make their name found in 2017 and have many projects planned as Carma for the year ahead.
