North Hop x Haddo House : Doggy Day Out - THIS WEEKEND!

And just like that, our final event of our Summer Events Programme with National Trust for Scotland is upon us, and what a summer it has been!
This weekend we are back at the awesome Haddo House for a full blown dog festival providing fun for our four legged friends, humans and kids alike! There will be the usual tasty street food, epic bars, lovely market traders, and fun for the kids, but this time we are also adding doggy vendors, a Pooch Bar and lots of fun doggy related entertainment and activities thrown in for good measure...
This will sadly be our last North Hop event for the foreseeable (it's been a busy year!!) so please come along and help us say farewell in style!
Below we have given a bit of a summary of all key FAQs, our fab vendors, the entertainment/activities line up and other useful info. See you at Haddo House this weekend for a ruffing good time! 🐶
Opening Times: 10am till 5pm on Saturday 28th and 10am till 5pm on Sunday 29th September.
Tickets: This event is ticketed, advance tickets are available to avoid the queues and guarantee entry! Adults only £4 + BF (£5 on door), Kids under 12 go FREE. Tickets will be available on the door and NTS Members will receive a £1 discount. VIP tickets are also available (but must be booked in advance by 10pm Friday) and include entry to the event, a special tour of the house, plus fizz or beer and canapés to finish.
50% off all ticket sales go direct to National Trust for Scotland to support the great work they do across their properties!
Getting There/Away: Unfortunately we won't have shuttle buses running for this event and no public transport runs direct to Haddo House, however we do have plenty of ace drink options on offer for the designated drivers plus plenty of yummy food to keep them contented! It is also possible to get taxis from nearby places like Ellon, Tarves and Oldmeldrum.
Parking: Parking is available on site and the standard NTS £3 pay at the machine (or NTS attendant) applies.
Cash is Key: Mobile signal can be limited at Haddo House so most exhibitors will be working on a cash only basis (unless they strike it lucky with their stand positioning and mobile signal!) so we recommend taking cash with you as there are no cash machines within the close vicinity. And please note that on the door ticket sales are cash only!
Dogs: Dogs are of course most welcome to this event but please ensure they remain on a lead at all times, and please clean up after them! Drinking water will be readily available. We will have lots of fun activities to keep them occupied at the event including a Pooch Bar, Agility Course and Doggy Parade!
Children: This event is very child friendly and there's plenty of space for them to run around and explore! There will be plenty of choice food and drinks wise for them to enjoy (most food vendors will do kids portion sizes if you ask), outdoor garden games set up, and we also have Candy Skullz Face Painting coming along to do face painting, balloon modelling and glitter art...
Picnic Rugs & Chairs: Although we will have some garden rugs and lovely seating areas on site we are more than happy for you to bring along your own picnic rugs and camping chairs for the day.
Guided House Tours: House tours will be running daily, and all event attendees will receive a 50% discount on these tours on the day, or alternatively grab one of our special VIP tickets (see above) for a tour with a difference!

Entertainment & Activities Line Up: Dog Beginners Agility Course, Dog Paddling Pool, Doggy Photo Booth w/ Sam Brill, Pooch Bar by The Long Dog Boutique, Doggy Parade (2pm each day, sign up at registration), Dog Kissing Booth, Kids Garden Games, Kids Scavenger Hunt (sign up at registration), Face Painting, Glitter Art & Balloon Models w/ Candy Skullz.
Doggy Parade Info/Categories: The Doggy Parade will take place at 2pm each, with free entry and prizes for the winning dogs and runners up. Sign up (limited spaces available) will take place at event registration and all dogs taking part must be at the Dog Agility area (opposite the Hall) just before 2pm. The categories are follows: Best Dressed, Best Trick, Biggest Diva, Cutest Dog, Most Unusual.
Doggy Photobooth: The awesome Sam Brill will be joining us for the weekend to set up a pop-up doggy photobooth! Pics can be done with or without props and are only £5 a shot!
