North Hop Aberdeen - The Final Fling!
Friday 26th January 2018
So with only 9 weeks to go and tickets selling like 'Hop' cakes we figured we should let you all know a bit more about the epic line up we have got in store to mark The Final Fling!
It almost feels like an end of an era is upon us, this will be the last time you can experience, and the last time we will be running a North Hop festival as they stand. But you will be glad to hear this doesn't totally mean it's the end for North Hop. Like everything we simply need to evolve and develop, and after 4 years of building/creating/growing the main festivals we want to give you guys something new, fresh, different and exciting!
But enough of the future (for now!), here's what you can expect from #northhopabz The Final Fling in March...
We have rallied up the troops from across Scotland for this one, bringing back some firm festival favourites and introducing some North Hop virgins. Serving up awesome local brews we have got Fierce Beer, Brew Toon and Beer Story. Bringing some banging beers from south of Edinburgh we're delighted to welcome Top Out Brewery and Broughton Brewery. After popular demand the Out of Town Brewing lads are back up from Glasgow. And bringing some Speyside goodness to the Beer Hall Spey Valley Brewery are back! And then on the cider front we had to give you guys exactly what you want and love...Thistly Cross Cider!
Mixing things up in the Cocktail Lounge we are delighted to welcome back local crews 10 Dollar Shake and Porter's Gin with some epic cocktails and no end of cracking banter (well that depends on your taste in banter of course!). From Balmenach Distillery in the Cairngorms we have Caorunn Gin and their sexy new bottles! Keeping the whisky lovers (or those still to be converted) happy we have got Finnieston Distillery Company, and bringing us a taste of the islands we have Colonsay Gin. And last but not least for the fizz lovers we have Art Deco Prosecco with fizz on tap and fizz cocktails.
Whether you fancy something meaty, something veggie, a bit of cheese porn, perfect pairings for your drinks, maybe something a little bit oriental or perhaps a little sweet, we've got your back! Aye Love Real Food (scotch eggs, sausage rolls, haggis bon bons), Harajuku Kitchen (free range pork or vegan gyoza, hot chicken or vegan udon noodles, miso soup), So...On Fire (chicken shawarma, signature burger, smoked beef, loaded fries), Melt (cheese toasties, vegan toast, chocolate brownies), Wild Fig (beer fondue Mac n Cheese w/ toppings, Wild Fig fries w/ beer fondue & toppings), and The Liberty Kitchen (vegetarian/vegan buddha bowls, tacos, artisan hot drinks, refined sugar free cakes) are all on hand to tickle your fancy. Want our advice? Try something from all of them!
If you fancy a bit of retail therapy whilst drinking, eating and having fun then once again we've got you covered! Don't miss Mine with their amazing pop-up jewellery boutique and take some time to wander through the #northhopabz Etsy Market Pop-Up (more info on this rather exciting development coming soon!)...
And rounding of the festival with some musical finesse we are pretty stoked to have the following artists joining us...Craig John Davidson, Daniel Mutch, Ross Graham, Sweet White, Shem Mason, The Sea Atlas, Scott Wallace, The 101, Katie Mackie, Nicky Aiken & The Temple Sons, Marc Culley, and The Harmonica Movement. And of course, Highland piping legend Spud the Piper to send the festival out in true North Hop style!
See you at the AECC 30 + 31 March 2018 yeah?
