Caorunn Gin @ North Hop Aberdeen 2018

The #beastfromtheeast thwarted the North Hop Crew’s attempt to visit Caorunn Distillery at the beginning of March, where we hoped to get a sneak peek at their cocktail offerings for #northhopbz. But us North Hop crew are a determined bunch, so refusing to be totally beaten by some wintry weather, we went for an al-fresco perfect Caorunn G&T serve complete with Fevertree tonic and red apple slice garnish, by scenic (and absolutely baltic!) Loch Morlich in the Cairngorms.

Caorunn is a firm favourite at North Hop, having featured at previous festivals. We can particularly recommend their intimate distillery tour over at Cromdale, as it features a nosing and tasting experience of the botanicals in the distillery, followed by a G&T back in the cosy Caorunn bothy!  

We were sorry to miss out this time round, but Head Distiller Simon will be on hand at North Hop Aberdeen to answer all your gin questions and give more insight into their unique distilling process. And we are pretty excited to see their brand new bottles in the flesh at the festival!
