Hello North Hop, From Your North East Ambassador!

What can I say, I've loved North Hop from my very first visit in Aberdeen 2016. The booze, the music, the booze, the food, the booze... you can imagine my delight at becoming the North East Ambassador for my favourite festival! Even more so when the Spirit of North Hop was announced - the chance to celebrate the best of Scottish spirits. When I'm not North Hopping you'll find me out in the hills or castle hunting, exploring bonnie Scotland and doing my bit to support local along the way. (That's code for sipping G&T's and filling my face with good grub).
While my other half appreciates the beer offerings of a typical North Hop festival, I'm all about the cocktails, the prosecco and (more recently) the gin. Hopefully my role of ambassador will bring lots of gin sampling my way - all in the name of research, of course! If I'm not in the cocktail lounge, I'll be scoping out the foodie offerings, meticulously planning what to eat and when, so I can squeeze as many tasters as possible into each session. I love meeting the makers and chatting to the super passionate creators, getting the inside scoop on their products - something which I hope to share more of on my own blog Dinner Stories in the lead up to the Spirit of North Hop, as well as next year's upcoming festivals!
